A Litter of Bones by J.D. Kirk

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

DCI Logan is once more attempting to solve a crime, a potential copycat killer- and he is forced to revisit the crime and child murderer that he’d previously locked away.

He is my fave detective! You can’t beat a mystery with a comical, relatable, strong headed, Scottish detective in charge. Go Logan!

The HauntingThe Haunting by Natasha Preston
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Penny has been banned from seeing her boyfriend Nash. She’s sick of the injustice, it isn’t his fault that his father was imprisoned for murdering local teens brutally, is it?

Only thing is, the murders continue… is it a copycat killer? Penny begins suspecting everyone around her.

So… the beginning of this had me hooked, I liked the premise and the mystery. About midway it started to get a little like a teen vampire movie, like, why go running through a cornfield alone when someone is on a killing spree??

Overall, enjoyed this- the story kept me wanting more.

Not half bad.

Fangirl Down by Tessa Bailey.

Being a golfing star, has gone to Wells Whitaker’s head. So when he walks away, his biggest and only remaining fan Josephine Doyle is devastated. Not only that, but her business is in trouble and her medication ain’t getting any cheaper.

Wells comes up with a plan to salvage both of their careers, but when it comes to it, Josephine is forced to make a heavy choice.

I wanted to give this a 3.5. Somewhere between love and like. I’ve been loving Tessa Bailey’s books of late and this was a great story overall – and i’m all for a good bit of passion, but the sex outweighed the story for a while there in the middle.

The end got more into the depths of the romance and tied up loose ends – so all is well with the world again.

Great if you looking for a fun, passionate, playful romance.

The WivesThe Wives by Lauren Weisberger
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Three women, three experiences, two things in common; privilege and secrets.

Marriage and suburbia can be anything but boring, from political lies to sex parties…. who knows what’s behind the Lululemon’s and plastic surgeries of Greenwich housewives.

I loved this! It was just as much fun as watching Desperate Housewives for the very first time. Secrets, lies, mistakes, crazy antics and strong women, written with panache. Hats off to Lauren Weisberger.
